Art Software Reviews
Below are the art related software programs I've tested and wrote reviews for. Of course there are others available too, but many are MS Paint clones or lack basic essentials for any serious use.For more software you can try Wikipedia's Comparison of Raster Graphics Editors and Comparison of Vector Graphics Editors - but both are outdated and full of discontinued programs.
A better bet is to look at the updated list Photos & Graphics at alternativeTo, but the list is a hodgepodge mix of completely unrelated programs too.
Raster-Vector Mixed
The true standout here is Serif Affinity Designer that is two programs (raster and vector) in one.
The other programs I've included offer drawing lines and perhaps some other tools in editable vector format/fashion. Typically done by adding a new vector layer and using the pen tool (CLIP STUDIO PAINT details, Corel PaintShop Pro details).
